What does a show caller do during an event?
The show caller sits at front of house or backstage on the production intercom and directs the live event in real time: cueing speaker entrances, standing by graphics and video rolls, triggering lighting looks, and keeping the program on schedule. On TriVision events the show caller works from the locked run of show and speaks directly to our in-house audio, video, lighting, and staging operators - one voice controlling every transition.
Is show management included with full event production?
Yes. Every full-scale TriVision production in the DMV includes show management - a technical director and show caller are part of the crew. We also provide show management as a standalone service when your venue or AV vendor is already contracted: we build the run of show, run rehearsals, and call the show while coordinating the existing technical teams.
Do you rehearse the show before event day?
Yes. Rehearsals and technical walkthroughs are built into our process. We walk presenters through entrances, confidence monitors, and Q&A handoffs, test every media file and microphone, and time the full program against the run of show. When schedules allow, we pre-stage and test systems at our Chantilly, VA production facility before load-in, which shortens on-site setup and reduces show-day risk.
What does show calling and show management cost?
Show management pricing depends on event length, program complexity, rehearsal days, and crew size - a single-room executive meeting needs a lighter team than a multi-room conference with concurrent breakouts and a livestream. Standalone show management is priced separately from equipment; as part of full event production it is built into the overall proposal.
